Specialist Consortium Awarded Place on MoD Enabling Contract for IS Security Consultancy Services
r2b2, Activity and GSS win two-year IS Security Support Consulting contract
Hampshire, UK – 2nd March 2009:r2b2 Limited, a specialist system engineering and project resourcing company, today announced that the Consortium it has formed with Activity Information Management and Global Secure Systems (GSS) has been awarded an enabling contract for the provision of IS Security Consultancy Support Services under the MoD’s ICS Catalogue, managed by the Technical Professional and Consultancy (TPAC) team.
TPAC is part of the Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) Commands & Centre group and is responsible for the delivery of commercial services across MoD, including the Information and Communication Services (ICS) Catalogue. This provides a range of products and services across the MoD and other Public sector departments. Under the terms of the two-year contract, which commences on 1st April 2009, the Consortium will provide the following full range of services that the MoD demands under the ICS Catalogue for IS Security Consultancy Support Services:
- Security Architecture Development
- INFOSEC Support
- INFOSEC Documentation
- Security Check of Networks, Systems and Components
Activity and GSS will act in the capacity of sub-contractors to r2b2, with r2b2 taking full responsibility as Prime Contractor for ensuring the delivery of the services to their ISO 9001 certified quality standard and the administration of the contract with the TPAC team.
