David Freeman

Consultancy Director at Activity

David joined Activity in October 2004 and is responsible for the delivery of security and information assurance consultancy.  He undertakes security research, risk analysis and security architecture evaluation and design as a CESG Listed Advisor Scheme (CLAS) consultant.

David began his career as a Defence Operations Analyst undertaking modelling and analysis of military issues.  During this time he worked as a civilian at the SHAPE Technical Centre (now the NATO C3 Agency) in The Hague for ten years.  Whilst in NATO, he became one of their first specialists on computer and information security. 

With over 25 years experience David has focused on information security, initially within the defence arena, but more recently across central Government and the private sector.  He is an expert in secure information sharing, secure shared services, collaborative working environments, risk analysis and incident management.

David and his wife Angela, have two children who are both at University.  When he gets time David enjoys playing the electric guitar and running.
