Technical Director at Activity

Tim joined Activity in January 2007 to manage the delivery of security testing and technical security consultancy services for Activity’s public and private sector clients.  In 2009 Tim took up the role of Technical Director.

Tim is a highly skilled technical security consultant and penetration tester, who has over 10 years experience in network and application security testing, technical security architecture, security monitoring, security technologies and emerging threats.  Tim is a one of Activity’s CESG CLAS consultants and CHECK Team members.

Tim also currently sits on the Standards Committee for The Council of Registered Ethical Security Testers (CREST) and is a Member of the CLAS Forum and is an Associate Member of the Institute of information Security Professionals (IISP).

Prior to joining Activity, Tim set-up and successfully managed both BT Syntegra’s and Diagonal’s CESG CHECK approved security testing teams,  gaining the CHECK team leader (CTL) qualification and performing CHECK penetration tests as a CTL for over five years. Tim also provided technical security consultancy to a wide range of both public and private sector clients.  Key projects included global SAP security consulting and testing, major HMG outsourced systems and International Payment settlement systems.

Tim also worked as a Principal consultant at Siemens insight Consulting where he also provided penetration testing and technical consultancy to several major Siemens outsourced HMG and global clients as well as developing both UK and European Security Business for Siemens insight consulting.
