Service Description

A Web Application Security Assessment provides insight into the resilience of an application to withstand attack from unauthorised users and the potential for valid users to abuse their privileges and access.  An effective assessment evaluates the security of the application against best practice criteria to validate security mechanisms and identify application level vulnerabilities.

Experienced Activity consultants will provide a full assessment of any application implemented using web technologies such as HTTP(s), XML or SOAP, with the goal of identifying vulnerabilities that could be used to compromise the application or any interconnected or backend systems, that would potentially result in the loss, modification, exposure or destruction of information that the application stores and processes. Activity’s approach simulates real-world attacks to provide a view of current vulnerabilities and threats to that application, product or service.
